FOUNDATION PHASE

Grade RR – 3

At the foundation phase, our children learn through play. They also acquire the pre reading and writing skills required for later formal education.

Our child friendly learning environment ensures that all developmental areas are addressed and nurtured.

INTERMEDIATE PHASE

Grade 4 – 6

Our students emerge from Benoni Muslim School foundation phase with a firm foundation and an easy and comfortable transition to the more formal and structured academic program presented in the junior phase.

Technical and academic skills are the focus of this phase. Learners are guided towards exploring a variety of subject material which assists them with a better understanding of the world around us in keeping with social, scientific, economic, and linguistic outlooks.

The Curriculum Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS) and Jamiat South Africa provide guidelines for learning in this phase. The following subjects are compulsory and each contribute towards the learners term and year mark.

SENIOR PHASE

Grade 7 – 9

Discovering your path to the future is the embodiment of this phase. Learners will find and utilize their talents and skills to shape themselves into the adults they aspire to become. Educators are there to guide and advise learners towards the future they envision for themselves whilst preparing them for real-life trials and challenges.

FET PHASE

Grade 10 – 12

Learners at Benoni Muslim School are well prepared and guided towards understanding their abilities and strengths in various academic fields before entering FET phase which is the first step in choosing a career path.

This phase allows learners to pursue an advanced understanding in subjects of interest which forms the basis of the tertiary education and career paths they strive to endeavour.

HIFZ

Grade 5 – 12 (BOYS & GIRLS)

Benoni Muslim School also provides a Hifz class for school going students and full time students who wish to memorise the Holy Quraan.
